A Glimpse of the Training
The Trainers
Joy's journey to yoga began on the dance floor. After years of training at a dance academy, she gained a deep appreciation for movement but also faced the harsh realities of physical limitations due to injuries. This led her to discover yoga's healing power, which aligned with her philosophy of listening to the body and moving with intention. It was here that she truly found joy in movement—one that nourishes both the body and spirit. As a singer, Joy began incorporating sound healing and live music into her classes, creating a magical experience where the vibrations of instruments like singing bowls resonate during movement. With over 1,000 hours of yoga training, Joy is now a passionate instructor dedicated to sharing the transformative power of yoga, enhanced by the beauty of live music. Her classes uniquely blend movement, music, and self-discovery, inviting students to find their own rhythm on their journey toward inner peace.
Eddie’s journey merges the rhythmic language of drums with the mindful practice of movement. Initially trained on the conservatory drum kit, his curiosity led him to explore Indian music and its profound connection to wellbeing, igniting his passion for the handpan—an instrument that complements his drumming style. As a movement and mobility specialist, Eddie, a self-proclaimed "nerd" in both music and movement, seeks to integrate these elements for optimal health. He emphasizes the importance of joyful movement, not just for injury prevention but for overall wellness. Through his infectious drumming and captivating handpan melodies, Eddie creates a sonic landscape that enhances the movement experience. He believes that music's vibrations, paired with mindful movement, can unlock deep relaxation and rejuvenation. Eddie’s dedication to music and movement makes him a transformative presence in any class, guiding students toward a deeper connection with their bodies and minds.
