25-hour Training • Anatomy & Alignemnt in Motion
A word from Fanny • 60 seconds on whether this weekend is for you
Anatomy is often taught as a map to memorise, and alignment as one ideal shape for every body. But no two bodies organise the same way. In this training, you learn to read the body actually in front of you, so your teaching adapts and supports, instead of correcting toward a shape that was never going to fit.
YOU'LL LEAVE WITH:
• A working understanding of functional anatomy for yoga
• Practical alignment cues you can use immediately in class
• Confidence adapting postures for different bodies
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Anatomy you can actually use in class

01
Functional anatomy
for movement
Joints, bones, and key relationships, focused on how they move, not just where they are. You'll learn to spot the patterns and compensations that show up on the mat.

02
Alignment as
a teaching tool
Alignment as communication, not correction. How to cue clearly and support safer movement without over-directing or chasing perfect shapes.

03
Anatomy as felt organisation
Structure as something sensed, not memorised. Through movement and attention, alignment starts to emerge from experience rather than instruction.
YOU'LL BE ABLE TO:
• Apply the key anatomical and biomechanical principles behind yoga postures
• Sense and recognise structural organisation through direct experience
• Relate to alignment as a supportive reference, not a fixed ideal
• Teach with more clarity, ease, and confidence
"This alignment part blew my mind. It's about how you align your body, no matter what kind of body you have."
Carlijn · Anatomy & Alignment graduate

Functional anatomy · Structural Integration
Approaches anatomy and alignment through lived movement, drawing on yoga, functional anatomy, and her training in Rolfing® Structural Integration. Clarity without rigidity.
Willemieke Verweij
Embodied anatomy · MSc Biomechanics
Bridges scientific understanding with embodied exploration, currently completing a Master's in Biomechanics. She invites structure to be felt, not imposed.

Anatomy and alignment are often taught either too theoretically or too rigidly, leaving you with information that's hard to apply. This training offers a different entry point: grounded in movement and sensation.
When you relate to structure through experience, alignment becomes clearer, more supportive, and easier to use in real classes. The result is curiosity and adaptability, not rigidity or self-correction.

YOUR QUESTIONS
Good to know
Is a Vinyasa background required to register?
No. And you don’t need to have completed a 200h Vinyasa-specific training. We simply expect you to be familiar with flow-style type of classes.
Do I have to buy the manual(s)?
No, the manuals are given to you as part of the training.
Do I need to be enrolled in the 300h Modern Vinyasa training to join this module?
No, you’re welcome to join this module as a standalone training. If you decide later to enroll in the full 300h program, this module will count toward your certification.
How good does my English need to be?
Our trainee & trainer(s) community is international and multilingual: you’ll hear many accents and cultural backgrounds in the room. You do need a good understanding of English and the ability to communicate in it, but your English doesn’t have to be perfect. You’re always welcome to ask for clarification or repetition during the training.
