A full journey into teaching, movement, and self-inquiry, grounded in functional anatomy, movement intelligence, and the heart of practice.

This training is here to support you in becoming a confident, clear, and embodied practitioner and teacher. Rooted in functional anatomy, adaptive alignment, intelligent movement, and a modern approach to yogic philosophy, it blends deep practice with smart, accessible pedagogy, without losing the soul of yoga.

Whether your intention is to teach or to deepen your practice, you’ll build a strong foundation in alignment, breath, sequencing, cueing, and presence. More than techniques, this is a space for connection, self-inquiry, and stepping into your unique voice.

Train in a supportive, down-to-earth community: with 6 weekends in Leiden and one immersive retreat in the nature of the Ardennes.

What You'll Learn

YHAE_TribesYTT_015.jpg

Functional & embodied anatomy

Delve deep into the fundamentals of the musculoskeletal system and gain a comprehensive understanding of how joints and muscles function. Explore the application of this knowledge within the context of your yoga practice. By exploring the major body parts, you'll uncover their interconnectedness and how they synergistically work together.

Alignment-based study of asanas

Embark on a comprehensive exploration of asana alignments, rooted in anatomical knowledge. Our approach involves organizing asanas into families based on key actions, such as backbends, forward bends, and more. By understanding the relationships between poses, you will gain insights into safe sequencing and observe how alignments intertwine from one pose to another. Through our guidance, you will learn to recognize common compensation tendencies on different bodies, empowering you to modify postures effectively and provide valuable hands-on assist.

Safe and intelligent sequencing

You’ll learn sequencing through a set of clear, action-based templates designed to support safe, logical, and adaptable vinyasa classes. These sequences give you a strong foundation to start teaching right away, while remaining flexible enough to adjust intensity and level for different students. Rather than improvising too early, you’ll work with structures that make sense in the body, prepare students progressively, and can later be expanded and refined as your understanding grows.

Modern perspectives on traditional philosophy

Embark on a captivating exploration of yoga philosophies and lineages, delving into their historical context and the influences of different cultures on their organic evolution. We will navigate through the core concepts of yoga, while also introducing teachings that offer valuable insights into addressing contemporary challenges. Our intention is not to prescribe a specific lifestyle or discipline, but rather to broaden your horizons and inspire you with the diverse and profound wisdom present in the philosophical history of yoga.

Authentic teaching & presence

During the training, you will experience personal growth as a yogi and establish a solid foundation for your journey as a yoga teacher. We will delve into important questions that will shape your teaching path: Who do you aspire to be as a teacher? What values and principles are significant to you? How do you wish to contribute to the world through yoga? Identifying your strengths and potential challenges will allow you to navigate your path as a teacher with authenticity and integrity.

This training has really enriched me in every way. Willemieke and Fanny not only have a lot of knowledge and experience, but they also know how to convey this very beautifully. They provide a safe place where you can grow in your process. There is room for interpretation, the lessons and workshops are very educational and very diverse, and all facets have been taken into account. The training has brought me closer to myself and given me many tools and handles to enrich and improve my lessons. I got to know new sides of myself again. The manuals are extensive and very educational. I am extremely grateful to Willemieke and Fanny, my fellow group members, and to myself for this process. So far this is the best yoga training I have taken.
