Rooted in Dance, Guided by Curiosity
Willemieke began her movement journey through ballet, first training with the Royal Academy of Dance. Her love of teaching ignited in Toronto, where she taught her first classes and laid the foundation for her own dance and yoga school. A Master’s in Cultural Anthropology deepened her understanding of embodied expression across cultures, while a second Master’s in Dance reignited her passion for authenticity in movement.

From Structure to Expression
Influenced by modern Vinyasa teachers like Baron Baptiste and Simon Park, Willemieke brings a unique lens to teaching, blending structured technique with organic expression. Her classes emphasise presence, emotional depth, and moving from within. She challenges rigid forms in favor of intuitive movement that honors the full experience of being alive in the body.
Why I Teach
For Willemieke, teaching is a way to connect people to the intelligence and magic of their own bodies. She loves witnessing the moment something “clicks”, when structure meets freedom and movement becomes meaningful. Her work is rooted in compassion, depth, and a love for transformation through movement.
